RULES FOR PAPERS

The paper will use the same rules defined for the Abstract submission, but the abstract of the paper should have a maximum of 150 words (see the rules for abstracts in this document) followed by the text using the rules (after the Keywords):
- Space 2 lines
TEXT (Times New Roman standard, size font 11) should be arranged in logical order with regard to its size and content, and be subdivided into specific sections.
Titles of sections size font 11, bold; space one line above section titles.
The authors should incorporate all figures and tables within the text.
Abbreviations and symbols should be identified the first time they are used (not necessary for SI units).
Avoid the use of headers and footnotes.
Insert page numbers in your paper.
FIGURES Figures should be numbered according to their sequence in the text. In general, plan the size of your figures to the page width (ca.160 mm) or, as a maximum, to the total page size of 160 x 250 mm when printed. Reserve space for headings and legends; these should be placed below the figures (or exceptionally besides, if a figure is narrow), centred. Always use “Fig. 1”,“Fig. 2”, etc., in any circumstances, as in the template.
TABLES Tables should be numbered according to their sequence in the text. Headings and legends of tables will be inserted above the tables, centred. Recommended format of tables is MS Excel or MS Word. Always use “Table 1”,“Table 2”, in any circumstances, as in the template.

Acknowledgements Size font 10; alignment to block.
- Space 2 lines
REFERENCES Size font 10; alignment to block. All references to publications in the text are to be detailed in the list of references at the end of the paper. Citation of references in the text should include the author’s name (without initial) and year of publication.
Use the reference list format as adopted for the Hydrogeology Journal. Follow the rules on the template.
