CONTENTS
Low permeability media requires specific hydrogeological characterization methods and equipment. This short course presents a summary of basic methods for flow and media characterization in low permeability geological formations, such as geophysical and borehole construction techniques, instrumentation methods (slug and interference tests), tracer tests and methodologies for data integration and interpretation. Some examples of advanced modelling approaches will be presented, in particular related to waste disposal facilities and karst media.
The course is addressed for technicians and scientists working in the applied hydrogeology field.
