The Portuguese Islands of Azores are located in the middle of Atlantic Ocean, 1,600 km west of the Portuguese Coast. The archipelago is formed by 9 volcanic islands, with different landscapes, marked by the volcanic activity.
22 September – Plane trip from Lisbon to the Island of Terceira. General visit to the island. Night on the city of Angra do Heroísmo.
23 September – Terceira. Visit to the geothermal field under development, Cabrito springs and Algar do Carvão cave. Plane transfer to the Island of Faial. Night on the city of Horta.
24 September – Faial Island. Visit of the Capelinhos volcano, Varadouro former Spa and Caldeira (central volcano). Free time on late afternoon. Night on the city of Horta.
25 September – Faial Island. Boat trip to Pico Island. Visit to the Cachorro Arch whaling museum and the famous vineyards. Plane transfer to São Miguel Island. Night on the city of Ponta Delgada.
26 September – Full day excursion to the hydrothermal field of Furnas. Lunch in the famous “cozido das caldeiras”, which consists in cooking, under the hot ground, various vegetables, sausages and meats. Night on the city of Ponta Delgada.
27 September – Full day excursion to the Lagoa do Fogo and visit of the geothermal power plants. Night on the city of Ponta Delgada.
28 September – Full day excursion to the Lagoa das Sete Cidades and Ferraria thermal water occurrences. Night on the city of Ponta Delgada.
29 September – Plane trip from Ponta Delgada to Lisbon.
Obs.: The price of the excursion include all the expenses, plane tickets from Portugal to Azores Islands and return, transport between islands (plane and boat), bus transport in the islands, accommodation and meals, with exception for the meal of the last night, which will be responsibility of each of the participants.
