Madeira Island is located 1,000 km southwest of the Portuguese mainland territory. Together with Porto Santo Island, they form the Archipelago of Madeira. It is a volcanic island that have interesting landscapes, and characteristic water works made along the last centuries.
22 September – Plane trip from Lisbon to the Island of Madeira. General visit to the center of Funchal (wine cellars, market, embroidery shops). Night on the city of Funchal.
23 September – Madeira Island. Technical visit to the Paul da Serra Massif: water galleries for water supply, suspended aquifers, “levadas” (former water works) tour. Field lunch, dinner in the hotel. Night on the city of Funchal.
24 September – Madeira Island. Visit to the central and eastern parts: volcanic landscape at Curral das Freiras and Pico Ruivo. Lunch at a typical restaurant, dinner in the hotel. Night on the city of Funchal.
25 September – Madeira Island. Free morning to optional excursions, shopping, etc. Plane trip from Funchal to Lisbon.
Obs.: The price of the excursion include all the expenses, plane tickets from Portugal to Madeira Island and return, bus transport in the island, accommodation and meals.
