CONGRESS TIMINGS
The Congress will be organized between 17 and 21 September 2007 and will be followed by field excursions. Pre-Congress and Post-Congress Courses will also occur.
Round tables will be planned as parallel sessions, including one organized by UNESCO-IHP, and will be announced in the 3rd announcement.
Two more main events will take place, a meeting about “History of Hydrogeology”, day 16 September, and a Symposium on “Thermal and Mineral Waters in Hard Rock Terrains”, from 21 to 24 September, announced in this document, but that will be two independent events occurring in the same space of the Congress itself, on separate rooms when in the same days.
A Meeting of the Working Group on Groundwater (WGC) under the Common Implementation Strategy of the Water Framework Directive is also planned during the week of the Congress.
In the Congress itself, there will be space for a field trip, on the afternoon of day 19 September, for the IAH Commissions Meetings and the IAH General Assembly.
The social programme will consist on a Reception Cocktail, a Musical Performance and the Congress Gala Dinner.
An extended IAH Council Meeting will also be organized in Lisbon, days 22 and 23 September. It will be an opportunity for the Council members to make a deep reflexion on the future role of IAH in the world.
